First time in Southeast Asia, Eurosphere 2017 launches in Vietnam with 80 European brands bringing new wave of high quality products under the new EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement
Ho Chi Minh City, Friday 12 May, 2017 – The EU-Vietnam Business Network (EVBN) has officially launched the first time ever in Southeast Asia, Eurosphere – European Art of Living which will occur from 16 to 17 June, 2017 at the Gem Center in Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam. Eurosphere will host 80 European brands from fashion & accessories, gourmet food & beverages, perfumery & cosmetics, interior design and automotive that will showcase their exquisite products to and meet with potential local partners. Eurosphere is supported by the Delegation of the European Delegation to Vietnam, Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs, national Embassies of European countries to Vietnam and Chambers of commerce of all EU member states as well as ASEAN regional partners.
Eurosphere 2017 is the new concept trade event dedicated to bring the various European quality products to the Vietnamese and Southeast Asia market. It was introduced in the context of the new Free Trade Agreement between EU and Vietnam (EVFTA), Vietnam being the first country to sign such agreement in ASEAN after Singapore. Companies taking part in the event will be the first wave of European brands enjoying the unprecedented benefits from the FTA: main changes will be on import tax that will decrease until 0 in a period of time of 8 years, as well as on Geographical Indications that will be protected upon entry into force of the FTA.

Bruno Angelet – Ambassador, Head of Delegation, Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam has expressed strong belief in the success of Eurosphere, creating a great opportunity for the promotion of European products on the Vietnamese market. At the event, 3,500 business visitors, mainly large importers, distributors, retailers, hospitality specialists, interior décor designers, fashion designers, policy makers, industry influencers, media representatives and also VIP’s and celebrities, will meet at Europhere through series of B2B meetings, conferences with high profile European speakers, networking events, and private Gala dinner. The event will not only focus on the economic partnership between European companies and Vietnam in the relevant sectors, but also as part of ASEAN as EVBN regional partners will introduce about their respective market opportunities and follow-up trade missions in each country after Eurosphere.
