About Damien Jamet
Damien is a French Designer originally from Paris where he grew up at the crossroads of a rich cultural heritage and the boiling contemporary Arts scene, he enrolled for night classes in fine-Arts and history of Arts with the renowned Ecole Nationale des Arts Decoratifs during 3 years, and then moved to the North to graduate with a master Degree in product Design and Management.
Hired by the successful Viennese Design studio, EOOS shortly after his graduation, Damien moved to Austria in 2007, where he had the chance to collaborate with some of Europe’s finest furniture brands such as Water Knoll, Alessi, Matteograssi, Bulthaup (etc.) It was also at EOOS that he did his first steps in commercial architecture for Armani Cosmetics and Adidas.
This experience with high-end retailers and manufacturers had a tremendous impact on his working process and sharpened Damien’s care for detail and what he calls “hidden beauty”: the small things only the craftsman can see.
In France, Damien has worked with the Paris based studio Cent Degres on cosmetics and fashion accessories for ST Dupont, Gaultier & L’Oreal, among other names.
Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for nearly 10 years, where he relocated to work closer with manufacturers, Damien Jamet has collaborated on many projects with some of Vietnam’s leading contractors and investors, like e.i. Le Meridien Hotel, the Amanoi resort, La Chevrerie resort, and some 50 apartments and luxury villa projects for his own clients.
With his solid experience in Interior and furniture Design, his awareness of contemporary Asian living, and a reputation for his uncompromised fit-out quality, Damien opened his company, CasaMia Interior in 2017 alongside a furniture showroom in the residential District 2 of HCMC.
